Agioi Apostoloi is located 4 km west of Chania city, in the direction of Agia Marina and Platanias. It is a picturesque waterfront village named by a small church called Agioi Apostoloi (“Saint Apostles”). The beaches in the village have clear and shallow waters – perfect for families with children. The most well-known beach is called Chrissi Akti (“Golden Beach”), due to the amazing colour of the sand.
In Agioi Apostoloi, you can find very good beach bars. You can also find all the usual summer hot spots: bars, restaurants and taverns, cafés, shops etc. Apart from these, Chania city is in walking distance from Agioi Apostoloi, meaning you can have the best of both worlds: great beaches and superb sights.
This is the “secret” reason why many visitors prefer to stay in Agioi Apostoloi, instead of Chania city. If you want to try it yourself, it’s sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
